Sprengel Shoulder

Sprengel shoulder is the most common congenital deformity of the shoulder. It is easily identified in infancy. It is associated with other congenital abnormalities like Klippel Feil Syndrome and scoliosis. It should ideally be addressed between 3 to 8 years of age with a surgical procedure.The most common surgical procedure described are woodwards procedure, Green's procedure and Mear's procedure. The surgery is mainly for cosmetic benefit but is also improves the abduction of shoulder in some cases.
